friday's feast

Appetizer
What was your first “real” job?

I worked at the projection bureau of the national post, telegraph and telecom organisation.
They had me clean up the archives, but soon I was more interested in how the designs were made, and I got the chance of making simple desingns on one of those enormous designtables.
I loved the work.

Soup
Where would you go if you wanted to spark your creativity?

Depends on what creativity.
It's the balletstudio, my garden.
But I'm sprarked by music, a poem, or just a thought too.

Salad
Complete this sentence: I am embarrassed when…

The children don't behave in public.

Main Course
What values did your parents instill in you?

Well, my mother abused me. My gram had the best influence on me.

To me important are:
honesty, respect for others (but only when they really deserve it. I don't mind a title. Just deserve my respect.)
And solidarity and altruism.

Dessert
Name 3 fads from your teenage years.

I had to look that word up:
A fad refers to a fashion that becomes popular in a culture relatively quickly, but loses popularity dramatically

Hmm...3 of them.

hot pants,
long hair with one part in front of one eye.
seats with a very high back,
shoes with very long laces....
Oh that's 4!

I love that you included "altruism" as a value. I agree whole-heartedly that it's very important! :)

If I had my hair like that (in the fads) I think I would go nuts! Lol! And I don't have the legs or bum for hot pants. Hehehehe

yes I can remember when I had those soup issues too. It is embarrasing. I tried to pretend once that I was just babysitting my boys instead of being their mother but the store clerk looked at me and said "It's too late I already heard them call you mom!"

Hey,Laane. Thanks for stopping by 2nd cup. I'm guessing your fad era is the 60? Maybe early 70s. My cousin wore hot pants, and I think that was her era. Nice feast.

Great soup and salad this week! I too, get embarrassed when children do not behave in public.

Thanks for visiting my own feast, and have a good weekend.
