Without apology
the sun ended the day
as a large red balloon
I could feel the last air
touch my face
the distant moon
didn't even consider
to protect me from the dark

an interesting reflection on the sun and the moon; and a very nice application of the word prompt
Ah, I like this! Great use of the prompt words!
Laane,
"Without apology the sun ended the day."
That is so great, I love it.
rel
This was really good.
But I personally think the sun should apologize! Dangit! I don't want the darkness, I want sunshine!
O:-)
excellent use of the prompts... i miss seeing the sun as you describe it here... it moves over the ridge and out of view here and i never get a chance to see it in all of brilliance......
I love this, very visual.
Laane, I just love this, I mean really love this!
Waow! this is beautiful!
I love this. It's a nice break from the tack everyone else seemed to feel drawn to, with issues of pride and angst. A beautiful illustration of nature that was quite a refreshing way to end my own day. Have a good night, and thank you so much for swinging by my place today.
I got your message on my post about not being able to comment, but I got your blog to work fine... I left one above :)
It was the blogs with word verification, not comment verification that woudln't work. Those little pictures of words that you have to type to prove you're a human and not a computer. :)
i really like the image the poem creates..the first two lines were particularly nice! A sunny use of the prompt!
Wonderful use of the 3WW. Quite a different contrast between other 3WWs. Quite lovely.
That's the universe for you. But it is good we paint a better picture through words.
as a large red balloon... this will be in my mind the next time i see a red sunset.... it is a beautiful post to the prompt...
argghhh it took forever for the 'post comment' window to come up - had to eventually right click and 'open link in new window"!
anyway, just wanted to say that i love the last 3 lines. :) lovely use of the prompt!
I loved this take on the prompt, thanks for stopping by at my post and leaving your mark, which in turn brought me here, you write beautifully, thank you.
What a clever and celestial use of the prompts - great metaphors for people and emotions!
I like this very different take into the 3 words.
