There are some developments about our family. Those who have followed us can leave a message in the comments when they want an update in the mail. This means family, good friends and dear blogger friends.
You'll help me give my girls something special. They have to deal with so much, as they have 4 older autistic brothers. They deserve something they really want and need for their hobby: bagpipes.
About This Blog
Here you'll find impressions of my life as a mother of a few children with autism spectrum disorder, some critical reviews of what going on in the world, including medical issues and political subjects. And everything else that keeps me busy.
I'm very honest about my experiences with autism, because only that way I can show how much of a struggle daily life with autism can be.
A series of posts
about lack of knowledge,
lack of concensus between disciplines
and the need for a formal diagnosis
with a psychiatric label
to get support for a unique individual
with autism.

Don't comment on my english
when you can't write my Dutch.
I'm a psychologist and writer, a mother of boys (4 with autism spectrum disorder) and 2 girls.
I'm a motivational speaker and autism advocate with the child at the center and science as proof of what parents already know. I've founded Action for Autism (World and The Netherlands) and I'm an autism ambassador.
No topic is strange for me. So if you have any questions, please let me know.
